Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Continues
The event opened with a bang, literally. MAPPA dropped the first official trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, which will adapt The Culling Game Part 2. Dorohedoro Season 3: Nikaido Is Awakening
Just when everyone thought Dorohedoro had been quietly waiting in the wings, MAPPA dropped a special teaser trailer for Season 3 that heavily hinted at Nikaido awakening something major. Fall in Love, You False Angels (Koi Seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo) is a shojo manga adaptation based on Coco Uzuki original work. The story follows Otogi Katsura and Toki Ninomae, two girls who both project a perfect image but gradually discover each other real selves. It is set to premiere in 2027 and marks MAPPA official entry into the shojo genre, which is a bold and exciting move.
BEAT & MOTION is based on Naoki Fujita manga and will stream exclusively on Netflix in 2027. The story centers on aspiring animator Tatsuhiko Hirayama and independent musician Nico Kashiwagi, two creative souls teaming up to confront their dreams and insecurities. The teaser trailer had a vibrant, energetic style that felt completely fresh for MAPPA.
JIMOTO SAIKO! (The Hometown Is the Best!) is another Netflix exclusive. It follows a character named Chanel and the people around her in her hometown, described as a warm story about friendship, community, and finding where you belong. Both Netflix exclusives show MAPPA is serious about expanding their global streaming presence.
Ranma 1/2 Season 3 and Oblivion Battery Season 2
Classic fans also got love. Kappei Yamaguchi, Noriko Hidaka, and Koichi Yamadera appeared on stage to discuss the upcoming Ranma 1/2 Season 3, which returns in October 2026. A new teaser trailer was revealed, and it looks like the remake is maintaining that classic charm while bringing modern animation quality.
Oblivion Battery Season 2 also got a dedicated segment, with voice actors Yohei Azakami and Nobunaga Shimazaki joining director Masato Nakazono on stage. MAPPA unveiled a new visual for the Bokyaku Festa 2026 event, scheduled for November 29, 2026, at Tachikawa Stage Garden.
Attack on Titan: One Last Dance with MAPPA
Even though Attack on Titan final season has wrapped, MAPPA is not done with the franchise just yet. Director Yuichiro Hayashi and Yui Ishikawa, the voice of Mikasa Ackerman, appeared on stage to announce that MAPPA will produce the opening animation for Attack on Titan: Brave Order Game 3. It is bittersweet, but also a nice way to keep the world alive through a new medium.
