The Summer of Anime Experiences Has Officially Begun — And It’s HUGE
If you thought last summer was peak anime season, think again. INCUBASE Studio has just dropped a bombshell: 12 major anime IP exhibitions launching simultaneously across Asia this July, from immersive exhibitions in Seoul to pop-up stores in Kuala Lumpur.
This isn’t just fan service — this is a continent-wide celebration of some of the biggest names in anime. From One Piece celebrating its 10th exhibition stop to Attack on Titan FINAL breaking new ground, we’re talking about experiences that will make any otaku scream. Yes, even Takaya Aoyagi (yes, THE Jugglus Juggler himself) is flying into Hong Kong for one of these events.
Here Are the 12 Must-Visit Exhibitions (and Where They Are)
1. One Piece: The Great Era of Piracy Asia Tour — Jeju Island, South Korea
Leading the charge is the beloved One Piece exhibition, which hit its 10th destination at Jeju Island. First launched in 2022 as INCUBASE Studio’s flagship original project, this edition introduces brand-new immersive water media experiences and a freshly curated Elbaph Arc zone. If you were there during previous stops in Hong Kong or Malaysia, prepare to see something completely fresh.
2. Crayon Shinchan: Space & Time Adventure Interactive Exhibition — Pingtung, Taiwan
Who said family-friendly anime couldn’t be revolutionary? This interactive exhibition has arrived at its fourth stop in Pingtung, presented in collaboration with the Pingtung County Government as part of their summer carnival. Interactive installations bring Nobita’s cousin to life like never before.
3. The Apothecary Diaries Exhibition — Seoul AND Kaohsiung
Double the excitement! Maomao’s palace intrigue adventures are getting two simultaneous debuts in this exhibition’s third and fourth overseas destinations. Seoul fans can now step inside the Forbidden Palace alongside Jinshi, while Kaohsiung gets the same treatment.
4. Digimon Adventure Anime 25th Anniversary Exhibition — Bangkok
Bangkok welcomes its first full-scale Digimon experience as the iconic series celebrates 25 years since 1999. Digital monsters come alive through immersive exhibits celebrating the franchise that defined a generation.
5. Taipei Double Feature: Ryoko Kui Exhibition AND Delicious in Dungeon Exploration Exhibition
Taipei is doubling up with two premieres. The Ryoko Kui Exhibition showcases legendary manga artist Ryoko Kui’s artistic evolution (from Revolutionary Girl Utena to Nightwalker), while Delicious in Dungeon lets you literally explore the dungeon with its famous cooking mechanics brought to life.
6. Lines of EVANGELION Exhibition — Taipei
Evangelion fans, gather around. This new exhibition explores the symbolic LINES that appear throughout the entire Evangelion timeline, offering unique insights into Rei, Asuka, Shinji, and the mysteries they face.
7. Attack on Titan Exhibition: FINAL — Seoul (Upgraded Edition)
For those who still haven’t recovered from the finale, INCUBASE Studio is giving the final blow with an upgraded EXFINAL edition. Features include:
- Original artwork by Hajime Isayama
- Expanded photo zones across multiple seasons
- New merchandise pop-up shop
- Themed collaboration café serving Survey Corps rations-inspired meals
8. Ultra Heroes Exhibition — Hong Kong
ULTRAMAN turns 60 years old in 2026, and Hong Kong’s INCUBASE Arena is throwing the party of the century. Opening July 25, 2026, this exhibition celebrates six decades of Japanese tokusatsu history with special guest appearances.
9. HUNTER×HUNTER Pop-up Store — Moving Through KL → HK → Taipei
Killua, Gon, and Kurapika’s hunt for exclusive merch continues. The store visits Kuala Lumpur first, then Hong Kong, before hitting Taipei in September. Limited editions only, people — don’t sleep on this.
10. Tokyo Ghoul Popup Store — Taipei
Following its successful Hong Kong run in May, Ken Kaneki’s nightmare comes to life at INCUBASE Arena Taipei on July 31, 2026. Exclusive ghoul-mask accessories, ghoul-replica items, and ghoulish goods await.
The Big Picture: Why This Matters
Sion Yip, Founder and CEO of INCUBASE Studio, summed it up perfectly: “At INCUBASE Studio, we believe exhibitions should go beyond showcasing content — they should create meaningful experiences that bring fans closer to the stories they love.”
This isn’t just about selling merchandise or showing concept art. These are fully-immersive experiences designed to make fans feel like they’ve stepped INTO their favorite worlds. Water media effects in One Piece? Check. Interactive time-space adventures in Shinchan? Check. Original manga pages straight from Hajime Isayama’s desk? ABSOLUTELY CHECK.
Why This Could Be the Biggest Anime Moment of 2026
The scope here is UNREAL. We’re not talking about small fan gatherings or boutique conventions. We’re talking about professional-grade productions that rival Disney park attractions but serve YOUR favorite anime IP. When Sion Yip says INCUBASE Studio has established arenas in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei, he means it — these are dedicated hubs combining exhibitions, pop-up stores, exclusive merch, themed cafés, and ongoing events.
But the expansion doesn’t stop in Asia. INCUBASE has already announced plans to expand across Europe and America.
What About That Meet-and-Greet?
Yes, Takaya Aoyagi (best known for portraying ULTRAMAN villain Jugglus Juggler in Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial) will be attending the Ultra Heroes Exhibition opening ceremony in Hong Kong on July 25. This includes a special meet-and-greet session with fans. Ticket details should be available soon — mark your calendars before they sell out instantly.
Still Waiting for Your Region?
Don’t panic if you’re reading this from Singapore, Manila, or anywhere else not listed above. INCUBASE Studio explicitly mentions they’re expanding rapidly. One Piece already visited Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand — who’s next? Vote with your presence at nearby cities, or start petitioning for your location.
Remember: The Apothecary Diaries started in Korea and China, but expect more regions. Same with Digimon. And if Tokyo Ghoul hit Taipei after Hong Kong, what’s stopping Hunter x Hunter from looping back somewhere else in 2027?
What Do You Think?
Which of these 12 exhibitions would YOU travel across Asia to visit? Is it the Elbaph Arc in One Piece? The final blow from Attack on Titan? Or maybe you’d rather grab exclusive Hunter x Hunter merch before the tour ends?
And here’s the real question: Are you ready for when European and American fans get their turn? Because when Sion Yip confirms global expansion, international fans are going to have some serious competition to deal with.
Drop a comment below — which exhibition gets your vote, and would you plan an Asian road trip to catch them all?
