Bleach fans, this one is for you: Bandai Namco Entertainment just opened pre-registration for BLEACH Mirrors High — a mobile game that lets you create your very own Soul Reaper in the world left behind by the Thousand-Year Blood War. If you have ever dreamed of swinging your own Zanpakuto in Karakura Town instead of just watching Ichigo do it, this is the closest the franchise has ever gotten to making that dream a reality.
What Is BLEACH Mirrors High?
Announced earlier this year and revealed in full at Anime Expo 2026, BLEACH Mirrors High is a brand-new mobile RPG from Bandai Namco Entertainment, scheduled to launch sometime in 2026. The game picks up in the aftermath of the Thousand-Year Blood War, following a lone soul newly awakened in Karakura Town who picks up a blade and carves out an original Soul Reaper story — one that belongs entirely to you.
Rather than a straight retelling of Tite Kubo’s manga, Mirrors High is built around player creation and customization. You design your own Soul Reaper avatar from scratch, fine-tuning everything from your hair, face, body, and eyes using a full color palette. Want a blonde, green-eyed Soul Reaper with a scar? Go ahead. The tools are there to make your character genuinely yours.
Forge Your Own Zanpakuto
Then comes the part fans have been waiting for: forging your ideal Zanpakuto. The game lets you customize your sword’s blade, guard, hilt, decorations, and even its visual effects, meaning no two players will swing the same weapon. Considering how much weight the Zanpakuto carries in Bleach lore — from Ichigo Kurosaki’s Zangetsu to Rukia Kuchiki’s Sode no Shirayuki — giving players full control over their own blade is a bold and very welcome move.
Even better, series creator Tite Kubo himself designed brand-new Soul Reapers for the game, so you will be fighting side-by-side with characters that exist nowhere else in the franchise. Kubo has stayed deeply involved with Bleach’s recent revivals, and his fingerprints are all over Mirrors High’s original cast.
New Voices, New Faces
Those original characters come with real voice actors, too. Yū Sasahara voices Maiko Tokishima, Shōgo Batori voices Giro Hando, and Fūka Izumi voices Naru Jurinna — plus iconic characters like Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki will appear alongside them. The game’s closed beta test ran from July 22 to 29, giving early players a taste of the combat system, and the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.
Combat That Rewards Teamwork
In battle, Mirrors High asks you to form a team of three and chain together fast, card-based attacks, signature special moves, and the powerful “Soul Drive” team-up technique. Pull it off right and you can trigger stylish Link Attacks — flashy combination finishers that feel ripped straight out of the anime’s best fights. It is a system designed for quick, satisfying mobile sessions, but with enough depth to reward players who actually build their teams with synergy in mind.
Bleach Is Having a Massive Year
Mirrors High lands in the middle of the biggest Bleach revival the franchise has ever seen. The fourth and final part of the anime, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, debuted on July 25 and is currently airing, while the 3D arena fighter Bleach: Rebirth of Souls launched back in March 2025. Not everything survives in this space, though — KLab’s Bleach Soul Puzzle game ended service on April 14 after a solid run since September 2024 — but Mirrors High arrives with far more ambition, and its post-war setting gives it room to tell stories the anime never got to.
If you have been following the final arc closely, you already know how much weight this era of Bleach carries. And if you have been collecting the game’s crossovers elsewhere, like the recent wave of Fortnite Bleach skins, this is a very different kind of experience — one where you are the Soul Reaper, not just a spectator.
How to Pre-Register
Pre-registration is now open on the official BLEACH Mirrors High website, and Bandai Namco typically ties global pre-registration milestones to in-game rewards — so the earlier you sign up, the better your starting kit will be. The game is set to release in 2026, with more details expected as the launch window gets closer.
