BABYMETAL is going global again — and this time the kawaii-metal trio is packing stadiums, festival stages, and a very loud support act. If you thought their 2025-2026 Asia run was big, wait until you see what Su-metal, Moametal, and Momometal have cooked up for the rest of this year. This is a world tour with teeth.
Twice the Metal, Three Times the Chaos
The biggest headline here is that BABYMETAL will be joined by American rockers Halestorm and rising metalcore outfit Violent Vira for a massive North American trek that kicks off at the end of August. It is easily one of the most stacked bills a Japanese idol band has ever headlined outside Japan, and the fan reaction across social media has been loud enough to hear from orbit.
The run begins with a blockbuster twist: on August 30, BABYMETAL opens a show for My Chemical Romance at Petco Park in San Diego BEFORE the band officially headlines their own run starting September 2 in Denver. Who Is BABYMETAL in 2026?
For anyone new to the wave: BABYMETAL is the kawaii-metal phenomenon fronted by Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), Moametal (Moa Kikuchi), and Momometal (Momoko Okazaki). Since forming, they’ve blurred the line between idol pop and heavy metal into something uniquely theirs, and their 2026 world tour leans harder into their heavier side.
