JOJO WORLD OSAKA Opens December 4 With a Villain-Themed Twist — DIO’s Evil Empire Awaits

Forget heroes. Forget golden spirits. THE JOJO WORLD OSAKA is going full villain mode — and honestly? It might be the most unhinged anime theme park experience Japan has ever announced.

Bandai Namco Experience just dropped a massive reveal for the permanent JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure store opening at LUCUA South in Osaka on December 4, 2026. And while the Tokyo location celebrates the heroic Joestar bloodline, the Osaka facility is described as “another world of evil,” ruled by the franchise’s most charismatic villains. Yes, DIO is literally greeting you at the door.

A Full Villain Takeover — 14 Characters, One Mirror Motif

New full-body anime illustrations by animator Shunichi Ishimoto — with frames designed by the legendary Yupon — feature 14 protagonists and villains arranged opposite each other through an elegant mirror motif. The villain roster reads like a greatest hits album of menace: Dio Brando, Kars, DIO, Yoshikage Kira, Diavolo, Enrico Pucci, and Diego Brando all make the cut.

Visitors entering the facility will immediately be greeted by a full statue of DIO inviting them “further down the path of evil.” Six window-shaped monitors surrounding the statue will display villain sequences from different anime arcs. References to the Bow and Arrow and enemy Stand traces are scattered throughout the interior. It’s basically a villain museum crossed with a theme park — and it sounds absolutely incredible.

SPW Foundation Villain Diagnosis: Which JoJo Villain Are You?

The biggest new attraction is the “SPW Foundation Latent Villainy Research Institute” — a personality quiz experience that matches you with one of approximately 100 JoJo villains based on your psychological profile.

Participants answer multiple-choice questions to determine their “Mental Evilness Level,” then complete villain-inspired actions to measure their “Behavioral Danger Level.” The two scores combine to reveal which villain’s tendencies most closely match your own. Are you a calculating Yoshikage Kira? A chaotic Dio Brando? A coldly ambitious Enrico Pucci?

After completing the diagnosis, participants receive a results photo featuring their villain match. This is going to absolutely dominate social media when it launches — imagine the TikTok content.

Classic Minigames Return With New Prizes

Two beloved minigames from the Tokyo location are coming to Osaka with fresh rewards. “It’s Back! Memetaa Ripple Roulette” is based on the iconic scene where Will Anthonio Zeppeli demonstrates Ripple by striking a frog on a rock. Players “punch” the frog on Zeppeli’s signal to win prizes including 14 acrylic boards, 14 acrylic stands, and 28 die-cut stickers.

“Oh, That’s a Baseball!!” recreates Jotaro Kujo’s legendary video game battle against Telence T. D’Arby from Stardust Crusaders. The game returns with the same intense gameplay as the Tokyo version.

Osaka also introduces an entirely new attraction: “Polpo’s Passione Recruitment Fortune-Telling”, based on Polpo’s lighter test from Golden Wind. Participants relight the lighter given by Polpo to receive a printed fortune. It’s weird, it’s on-brand, and JoJo fans are going to lose their minds over it.

IGGY CAFE Gets the Sex Pistols Treatment

The IGGY CAFE — themed around everyone’s favorite Boston Terrier from Stardust Crusaders — is returning with a twist. This time, Mista’s Sex Pistols are helping out around the cafe, and visitors can actually hear the Stands’ voices while dining. The Osaka-exclusive menu includes gelato starting at ¥990, donut and drink sets for ¥1,500, and original drinks for ¥900. Featured items include an Iggy-themed donut and a Gyro Zeppeli teddy bear “Kuma-chan” donut — because of course Steel Ball Run gets the cutest pastry.

Exclusive Merchandise and Sparkling Sticker Collection

Bandai Namco previewed original THE JOJO WORLD products planned for the Osaka launch. Highlights include three versions of the Sparkling Sticker Collection, each containing 12 possible designs at ¥660 per sticker. A Stray Cat-themed item was also teased, though full details haven’t dropped yet. All Osaka-exclusive merchandise will eventually be released at the Tokyo store as well.

Why This Matters for the JoJo Fandom

With Steel Ball Run’s weekly Netflix episodes already breaking streaming records in 2026 and the JoJo franchise experiencing its biggest global surge ever, the timing of JOJO WORLD OSAKA couldn’t be better. The villain-themed angle is a stroke of genius — JoJo villains are arguably more iconic than the heroes, and giving them their own dedicated space is something fans have wanted for years.

The permanent nature of the Osaka location also signals Bandai Namco’s long-term commitment to the franchise as a cultural tourism destination. Between Steel Ball Run’s Netflix dominance and now this, 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year in JoJo history.

What Do You Think?

Which JoJo villain do you think you’d match with in the SPW Foundation diagnosis? Would you make the trip to Osaka just for the DIO statue greeting? And most importantly — are you Team Tokyo “Golden Spirit” or Team Osaka “Path of Evil”? Drop your thoughts below!
