Bleach: The Calamity Writes Its Final Goodbye
Twenty years after the anime first aired, the Thousand-Year Blood War arc comes to its long-awaited conclusion with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War — The Calamity. Studio Pierrot is going all out for the finale, adding anime-original content so the ending breathes instead of rushing. Creator Tite Kubo, chief director Tomohisa Taguchi, and series director Hikaru Murata reunited for a behind-the-scenes talk during the limited US theatrical premiere — a clear sign they wanted this farewell to actually land.
The stakes have never been higher. Thirteen Court Guard Squads converge on the Royal Palace, now under the control of Yhwach, for one final, desperate confrontation. If you started the series when two cowriters named it peak, this is your payoff.
Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Brings Back the Sword King
Studio Bind, built from the ground up to adapt the light novel, returns on July 5 with Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3. Locked in at AnimeJapan 2026, this season covers the Everyday-Life Arc, Turning Point 4 and the Asura Kingdom Arc.
The marketing obsession though — Eris Boreas Greyrat returns as a fully-realized Sword King after her long absence since Season 1. And Rudeus Greyrat has to face both a new chapter and the weight of connections he burned along the way. It is emotional, beautifully animated, and one of the single most anticipated drops of the year.
Re:ZERO Returns in August
WHITE FOX is not done with Subaru yet. Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 Part 2 premieres August 12. That means more suffering, more loops, more Emilia and the rest of the ensemble navigating a world that refuses to read them an easy hand. If you want to be caught up before August, yes, start now.
Black Torch and the Bold New Blood
It’s not only sequels. Black Torch, produced by 100studio, is bringing its hit manga to anime with a slick, dark shonen edge that already has early buzz. Also in the corner: Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia by Science SARU and Kaiju Girl Caramelise. This season is genuinely broader than nostalgia, and the new guard is arriving hungry.
Tanya Comes Back for Season 2
Studio NUT surprises, Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 was announced ages ago and finally returns. The nomad of war, Tanya Degurechaff is back on the battlefield, and fans who grew up with that series are finally getting their wish. February’s writing schedule is officially written.
